WHO WE ARE
ABA Disaster Relief was founded on the idea of helping those in need. Ever since our organization was established, we have endeavored to provide help where the need is greatest. Our team is made up entirely of volunteers. We advocate for those who need our help. Even a little help goes a long way. That is why we are especially happy to find new volunteers who share our commitment to doing good in the world. Do you want to support us by helping with our work? Then do not hesitate to contact us. A helping hand is always greatly appreciated!
Our History
ABA Disaster Relief Ministries was originally founded by Marvin "Moose" Jackson, pastor of the Fouraker Road Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida. Sponsorship of the ministry moved to Oakwood Baptist Church in Brandon, FL in 2005, then to First Missionary Baptist Church of Antioch, California and the Heritage Baptist Church of Missouri City, Texas in 2008. In 2014, the Westwood Missionary Baptist Church in Winter Haven, Florida became the sponsoring church for the ministry after moving the ministry headquarters to Winter Haven, Florida. In August 2015, Director Marvin Jackson, the inspiration for the ABA Disaster Relief, went home to be with his Lord after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. For a year, brother John Hancock was the National Director. Then in 2016 Paul Stansell was introduced as the National Director of the ever expanding, nationwide relief ministry, helping those in crisis with the love of Christ. In 2023 brother Paul answered another call and began "Reconcile Ministry" to help released prisoners reintegrate into society. Sept of 2023 Temple Meek III was asked to be the new National Director of this ministry. Brother Meek has pastored a couple of churches, was a missionary to India for 14 years, is a professor at Emmaus Baptist College for 7 years now and a handyman.
